WHAT WE DO
Keeping Kids Off The Streets are a non-profit organisation based in Milton Keynes, opened in 2016. Since then we have raised awareness in our local community by offering free workshops to all kids to help them thrive and offering training opportunities.
In the future we’re looking to open numerous Youth Clubs in Milton Keynes and afar; offering multiple training opportunities and to teach discipline in our next generation.
GOALS & VISION
Our aim with Keeping Kids Off The Streets CIC is to build and create inclusive connected Community Centres in Milton Keynes and afar that provide a focal point for communities. All of these drop-in centres will be FREE at the point of service for anyone in their local community.
- Outside School Times – Facilities will be open for the members of the public to drop in whenever they like.
- Workshop Intervals – All workshops will be run by different supervisors; offering multiple workshops from boxing, music bricklaying, videography, dance and many more!
- Local Community – Once each Community Centre has been opened we will survey the local population to confirm which workshops they would like to have on offer.
- Children First – As part of our identity, children will be put first ahead of adult workshops for each activity.
- Free Equipment – Providing the equipment is not being used in a workshop session. Equipment will be available for anyone visiting the drop-in and fulfilling a register; in a similar model to how a library works.
- Catering Facilities – Tea and coffee-making facilities will be available on all premises; allowing anyone in the local community to use them for free. Depending on the location there might also be areas available for food preparation such as neighourhood barbeques etc.
- Entertainment Facilities – Outside of the workshops we will have a projector available for television use, DVDs and console sessions in the local community.
- Preventing Social Issues – We will focus on presentations from the local community or events from industry-led professionals or athletes to talk about social issues. This will aid and build social cohesion.
We aim to provide a platform for all to grow and become their self best through collaboration. We can use all of the local communities’ unique skills to support each other with new innovative ideas.
